I’m very sorry to hear that.

For the record, it sounds like it was a burglary, not a robbery. While either is bad, a robbery would have been worse.

Isn't that the kind of statement that got you banned? Also, this was in Montana, generally considered a pretty tough on crime, Old West type of state.

    So you consider this political?

Your post borders on the political, not that I care. I'm not in charge, however.

He should just mind his own business.

On a public message board? I removed my post since you removed yours. I simply asked if that was the type of post that got you banned. I agree with @jmlanzaf that it does border on political. Or at least gets a lot closer than I would if I was banned and reinstated for something of the sort.

He might have just been trying to be helpful... to clean up his karma. 😉

Now the bad guys know that he had much better stuff that didn’t get stolen….yet. Why on earth would you put that in a news story?

Maybe he’s baiting them into trying again. Except this time he’ll be waiting with his “little friend.”

Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.

I agree with Namvet69, whenever I hear about a burglary like this, my mind goes to perimeter explosives and trap doors with spikes at the bottom

A burglary is such an invasion of one's privacy. Not to say a robbery isn't better
My point being is that someone was in your home. This would give me fear that they could come back. While it's likely they want that fear would remain.

The worst part is when you know the crooks. That is a deeper violation of trust.

Had six drunk female prison guards from Rikers Island in my Uber ride for about a half hour.

The stories they told... Prison ain't fun.

I can only hope the victims find justice.

Gun shops have a habit of keeping big dogs on premises, so they are less likely to be burgled. Dogs are always armed. Maybe coin shops should start investing in dogs for protection.

The substantial truth doctrine is an important defense in defamation law that allows individuals to avoid liability if the gist of their statement was true.

Some of the stolen coins would be easily identifiable if found.

“There were some specific silver dollars that we better date dollars but they were messed up in some way or another. About 80 or 90 coins that any dealer that saw this stuff walk in, would recognize that this is from this deal,” Miller said.

**Wonder what that means better dates were messed up?

Wonder what that meant since he is a dealer.

My guess is that "messed up" meant problem coins - cleaned, damaged, altered, etc.

I have only been at this shop once. His previous location, hundreds of times. Sad to hear.

If I recall, Wayne stopped card collecting when his collection was stolen.
