Requirement to send certain PSA purchases to CA for verification

I must be late to the party...

I'd appreciate an informational response to this "new" practice, how it impacts any delay in receiving purchased cards, etc. How would they even know what you purchased? Who pays for the shipping from seller to the verification venue? Is there a trigger point on a purchase that generates this procedure?

Are there any stats that have generated this practice in terms of how many fakes have been found or discovered? Must be a lot of bad stuff out there to have generated this procedure.

    Are you talking about the eBay Authentication Program? That only applies to eBay purchases $250 and up which includes any BIN/OBO listings originally at $250.

    I would say the impact has to do with the ridiculous amount of returns sellers have had to deal with both graded and ungraded and fake slabs.
