Ancient AOE Owl Coin Question

I found what I believe to be an AOE Owl coin over the weekend at a property while metal detecting (thread is in metal detecting forum) where I also recovered three other US silver dimes and older Lincoln cents. Is this critter authentic or a more recent copy? I did a search on this type in the World/Ancient forum and there is a very thorough thread about these coins with multiple different (but closely similar) examples.
