    I just checked and that coin sold for $9,487.50 in the 2002 FUN auction. I presume the current owner is looking to get at least what he spent on the coin, which I also presume is $9,487.50.

    I don't know about the rest of you Merc collectors, but I look at that coin, look at the credit card in my pocket, look at the coin, look at the credit card, .....

    I was the only bidder on this coin's 1st go 'round. The seller e-mailed me that the reserve was $9900, if I was interested. The auction closed with no other bids, and the coin was relisted. The seller e-mailed me again, stating that the reserve is now $9500, and that because of all those acg coins I had bought image , he was willing to send me the coin up-front for approval (and end the auction) for that amount. After checkin' the grey sheet, I went through the same mental tug-of-war between coin and cc. LOL! imageimageimage

    Let's see, rice & beans for a few years, and I could get close!!! image
