I didn't want to use our host's name for their photography because I think it's trademarked. Anyway, I have a lot of original packaging for ANACS photo certificates and this is the only coin with certificate that also came with these large high resolution black and white photos. I have included a quarter for size reference. Anyone else ever see these large photos included with an ANACS photo cert? I'm assuming it was an extra fee similar to our host.

Barely missed FB.
They didn't designate full bands then. It currently resides in a PCGS 66FB holder.
I think that since CU owns PCGS it is ok to say the real name. After all, everyone else does and they aren’t being banned for it. That’s a nice dime by the way.

I have owned many certificates, but have never had the opportunity to submit a coin through this process, thus did not know of this feature. Also, yours is the only one I have ever heard of.

I have nothing to add to the OP’s question. But I would like to see someone or people in a thread archive the history of the photo certificates from various outfits over the years. From these early ANACS photo certificates, to TrueView and NGC and CACG competitors, to current imaging offerings in the industry like GreatPhoto from GC.

Well that is curious. I was still Senior Authenticator there as of the date on that certificate (I left that Summer), and I do not recall us offering enlarged photos of coins that we had certified. That said, selling prints did not affect the authentication and grading process that I was in charge of, and if somebody wrote and requested to buy prints of their coin there is no reason why our business office would have needed to bother me about it. They could just request the prints from our photo dept. and send them out. They still had the negatives. Heck, the negatives are still in the basement at Headquarters. When the ANA sold ANACS the new owners did not want them.
Thanks for the info.
I've never seen the giant photos, but if you want another tie to our host, I offer this certificate, with an apology for my old, crappy photo of it. The handwriting says "I think there's some chance this TPG idea might catch on" and was added when I saw David Hall at the PCGS table sometime after I picked up the certificate.
