The 10'th Anniversary of John Mercanti's Australian Wedge Tailed Eagle for 2024 features his 9'th design...seeing one of these flying around must be spectacular, just imagine seeing a bird 3 1/2 feet long with wings spanning around nine feet! As far as this new coin design goes, not sure how I feel about it...is this how it would look flying overhead? It seems to have a flat perspective to it, with a background design that reminds me of a Wham-O logo.

Weirdest coin I've seen yet on the US forum...🤔
When I was last in Oz in 2001 near Melbourne on business, I took some time to go to a nearby zoo. Besides seeing the typical animals like koala, wallaby, kangaroo, and platypus (much smaller than I imagined), they had a outdoor amphitheater where they showed birds. One of the birds was the wedge tailed eagle. Had it trained to fly around the area and over the crowd. Stunning, and something I'll never forget. BTW the locals pronounce it wedge tiled eagle.

I'm not sure I'm liking the feathering details...almost looks like a quick sketch.
All I can think about is: KAH KAHHHHH
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.
The Wedge Tailed Eagle coins are really nice. This isn't one of my favorites, though.
The 5-ouncers are great, ditto the 2-ouncers.
