Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
We had a cat once, who liked being outside, but didn't like the rain. When it was raining out the back door, he'd ask us to show him the front door. He always was disappointed when it was raining there, too!
Sounds just like one of my dogs. She hates to get her feet wet when it is raining, so she will get soaked as she walks all around the grass looking for a dry spot, it's actually rather funny to watch.

As explained on the other forum, that is not a 1943, the 3 would be the wrong shape,
it is probably a badly corroded 1948.
It would be hard to find anyone that would give you 1 cent for it.
