I have this coin type of medallion. I was curious to see if anyone had any information on it. Who received them, is there any value? Thank you.

Very interesting.

I am assuming that if you visited the WTC there was a machine or souvenir stand where you could have your name or message added to the medallion as a memento.

I have one from the DMZ in Korea. There is a souvenir machine where you can have your name, date or message stamped onto the medallion.
