GTG - Two Cent Piece

Another one from my recent 7070 album submission. It was also purchased from JJ Teaparty a very long time ago, from one of the old peach colored mailings they used to send out. In this case, they were running a special, as they had "acquired a small hoard of original mint state Two Cent pieces".....that would have been fun to see!
The 1 and 8 of the date are repunched, but I didn't bother paying for the variety attribution, as I assume the interest is rather low.
No complaints about this TrueView, which is fairly close to real coin, though the browns are a bit darker and richer in hand than in the images.

You should have covered up the CERT number
Nice wood grain look.
I guess if we were playing for money I’d worry about it….

Thanks all for participating…..
I was being conservative, too.
I thought that it could have gone higher!
Beautiful coin with great eye appeal.
I love the traces of RED that are left. Was almost gonna guess RB.

wow... I was going to go with MS64BN... at least. I like the woodgrain appearance too, perhaps it was off-putting to the grader? Nice piece...

I was going to say 63+BN before I saw your answer. I like the look of it.
I think it's an RPD-006 from what I can see.
I would not have evened ventured a guess but I love the coin! The wood graining is awesome!
Smitten with DBLCs.
Guess who peeked.

Not me. I can’t help it if I know how to grade. 😉

Not my walker brother, no way lol!
Hmm. It's very pretty, I like the woodgrain effect.
I wonder why it's only a 63? I thought a lot of the technical grade was in the shield lines... I don't see a nick or tick on them.
Also, the blue-ish haze on the reverse is spooky. I assume it's not pvc or the beginning of...

I don’t think it’s PVC. I think it’s more like a patina that I also noticed on some of the other copper coins after decades of storage in the 7070.
My guess is MS64BN. I truly think the obverse to be MS65BN, but reverse holds it back.
