I am putting together the 1965 - 1967 SMS Set and need the Washington to complete it. Currently sitting at #68 with my Little Cypress Creek Collection set. I think the population is 57 in 66 Cameo so they don't show very often. I would prefer a 67 Cameo. If ya got one or know where I might look for one any help would be appreciated.

Gonna bump this thread for a few days just to give all the folks here the opportunity to help a poor collector find his wayward coin to complete a set. Thanks gentlemen and ladies.

Still searching for this Washington for my set.
Thought I would just resurrect this old post instead of starting a new one.
Completed the 1965 - 1967 SMS set (sans the 1965 Washie in Cameo) but I have moved my set to #14.

Keep looking at coin shops or ask friends if they have any SMS sets they want to sell. You can occasionally find a nice one. I recently found a Washington quarter 1965 SMS that should make the cameo grade when I send it in to PCGS to be slabbed. I am looking for a 1966 cameo in MS67 or MS68. I scored a 1967 MS68 Cameo in a PCGS holder for $50.00 at a coin shop. They had it priced without taking the cameo grade into consideration. Good luck on the hunt and let me know if you have a extra 1966 cameo available.

I check daily to see if this particular coin has been listed on any of my favorite search sites.
The SMS 1965 Washington has a pop of

57 in MS 66 Cam and
44 in MS 67 Cam so a fairly low pop coin to start with.

With many examples already listed in the 1967 Mint sets and the 1965 - 1967 Mint sets there are not too many slabbed coins out in the wild to pick from. That is the reason I am asking for help from the board here. The more eyes searching the better the odds.

    Several NGC MS67 Cameo’s on eBay…..

There are always a few listed and I check those out too. I haven't seen any listed lately that I think would cross to PCGS holders. So I am reluctant to spend the (I'm retired on a budget) money on a gamble. I would prefer to just purchase the right coin in the right holder.

Do appreciate your post though. Thanks.
