INVESTIGATING AGENCY: PA State Police
TYPE OF INCIDENT: Vehicle Burglary
DATE OCCURRED: 2/10/24
INCIDENT LOCATION: Williamsport, PA
A dealer returning home from the recent Baltimore Stamp & Coin Show held on February 10, 2024 in Timonium, MD was the victim of a vehicle burglary. The dealer pulled into his driveway and went into the house for several minutes and when he returned to his vehicle unknown suspect/suspects entered his vehicle and removed a large tub containing his show inventory. No suspect information is available at this time.

TYPE OF INCIDENT: Burglary Residence
DATE OCCURRED: 2/4/2024
INCIDENT LOCATION: Falling Waters W. Virginia
The West Virginia State police are investigating a residential burglary of a coin dealer who had just returned home from a show in Timonium, MD. The dealer unloaded his coins inside the house and then left for approximately an hour and a half to go eat. Upon returning home he found that his house had been burglarized and a large amount of inventory stolen.
The loss included slabbed and raw coins (key and semi key date coins). Below is a partial list of stolen coins.

That's a lot of high dollar inventory to be a random theft. Hope he gets at least some of it back.
Sounds like at least one or two organized groups are targeting dealers. It's a good time to for dealers to make themselves harder targets.
The substantial truth doctrine is an important defense in defamation law that allows individuals to avoid liability if the gist of their statement was true.

Our society has let the detriments to these and many types of other crime to be to soft. We reap what we sow I hope they catch them and the guys gets his stuff back.
