Make a choice between Ty Cobb or Stan Musial as ball players only. Not as human beings.

This is super close. Who was a better ball player only. Don’t consider their personalities.

give me the georgia peach. the guy was a menace on the basepaths and had a win at all costs attitude. even with the huge disparity in home runs, Cobbs SLG % is not that far off from Musials. that tells me a lot, also that Cobb was playing the bulk of his games right in the middle of the dead ball era.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

    Ty Cobb

Stan Musial is in the list of great players, but Ty Cobb is in the elite list.

Musial is an all-time great and arguably the nicest human being to ever play professional sports, but Ty Cobb completely wrecked games

I can remember hearing Stan the Man play take me out to the ball game on his harmonica at Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. A really cool thing to witness.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

"Make a choice between Ty Cobb or Stan Musial as nice and friendly ball players only."

    I corrected the thread title.

I'm still taking Ty Cobb. 😎

Apples and Oranges- Not a reasonable comparison based on the time difference when they played.
