1957 Proof Quarter with Toning

New to the forum. I have some coins I'm thinking of sending for grade. Ex:

I have a 1957 quarter I took out of a proof set. The quarter has grey and blue toning on obverse and lighter toning on reverse. Does it have value. Is it worth sending to grade?

    Welcome to the forum

Nice looking quarter but the value would not be worth anywhere near the cost to have graded.
Unless a coin is worth at least $150-200, you would just be losing money.

  • Got it. Thanks.

Not attractive coin imo. Looks like needs a dip. I don’t see it having premium value. Many would discount it. Hey start it on the Bay (99c plus shipx cost) and see what happens.

@irvkms Nice quarter, but not worth sending to be graded. Maybe just keep it or put it in an album or folder. Where did you come by this quarter?

  • JWP - I cracked it out of a Proof Set I bought on EBay.
