help requested - coin dealers near Port Washington, NY

A non-collector friend of mine inherited what I would consider an "ordinary" coin collection (lots of G-VG common date 90% silver, 1964 Kennedys, bullion rounds, etc.) and is looking to liquidate. He lives in Port Washington, NY. Are there any coin dealers in that area that you would trust to give him a fair shake? Other suggestions for the easiest way to sell are also welcome.

You don't necessarily need a local coin dealer to liquidate bullion. There are national firms. You could try the BST here although I would get professional quotes first as the BST is not always the best price out there.

You can also possibly ship to either one of the coin dealers in the forum or one of the coin dealers used by collectors on the forum.

Of course, depending on the total value, it might be preferable to deal locally.

He doesn't need recommendations from us. Find them on the internet and call for quotes and take the best one. For bullion, you don't need a dealers eyes to evaluate it.
