What are you looking at?
the little square marks except they are raised i think when i drag a toothpick across... to the left of the leaves
looks like some sorta hit to me, fwiw
what is "ht"? and what is "fwiw"?
The raised squares continue to the edge but not as obvious
ht = hit (I assume)
fwiw = for what it's worth.
If they are raised then they'd have to be an anomaly in the die, but I assume they are really incuse in which case they represent damage, PMD (post mint damage).
It is damage of some sort, doesn’t really matter what, it didn’t happen during
the striking of the coin so it is PMD ( Post Minting Damage).

They do look raised
