I just seen on ebay a1968 D Washington Quarter with FS 801/DDR-002 Variety. That is a hard to come by variety . I believe it was MS 66,..I cant remember the last time i seen one at auction in that grade, i bet it had to of been 5 yrs at least. Definitely don't see that variety often. Something that rare thought i should mention it

The DDR-002 is not the same variety as the FS-801, so that is incorrect advertising.
In any case, your coin advertisements belong in the Buy, Sell, & Trade Forum.
Not many people are aware of the DDO-002, and apparently not many have been submitted to TPG's, so we do not have good population data on this particular variety.
That being said, VarietyVista reports that this variety can be found in mint sets, which means that it is a) likely to be orders of magnitude more common than the FS-801 and b) will typically be found in mint state.
Any buyer purchasing the coin as an FS-801 is likely to be very disappointed when they realize the difference.

And probably also posted a link so we could see what you were talking about?

Thanks, I just bought it!
Interesting bidding history...those two brand new eBay members sure do want that coin...
My offer for a coin like that would be 25 cents.
Reserve not met, not sold
The offer comes from Indiana, John doesn’t live there. I think he posted without self-interest..
Down right deceptive listing! It is not the FS-801 variety as mentioned above. It should be reported as fraudulent to eBay.
Might you be confusing @johnpainter with @JohnThePainter ?
Yes! Thanks, didn’t notice the post count. Good call!
I don’t know nothin about that quarter. But I did find this one the other day with my metal detector 😂
