Being this was received from a food truck. For a few seconds I thought the cud was a sample of some food that had inadvertently fallen on the cent and stuck.

Agreed! I found a 1920 wheat leaf in a change bowl at a store a few months ago! Pretty cool! 103 year old coin still in circulation….but not anymore! 😉
I always think that the rarest st coins are the ones that haven’t been discovered yet. Keep on searching!
