Odd counter-stamp on a 2018 ASE

ChangeInHistoryChangeInHistory Posts: 3,022 ✭✭✭✭✭

We ran across this at the shop. Never seen anything like this on an ASE. Looks like it's either the NY skyline or possibly disney's magic kingdom. The holder is sort of interesting as well. There looks to be a company logo at the bottom thats hard to make out.
It does have look of a promotional/gift store item.

Anyone run across something similar?

Is there a way to get it out of holder to check closer to see if authentic?

    It's authentic.
No need to remove from the holder to determine that.

The counterstamp looks like the NYC skyline. This may have been made to sell to tourists as a souvenir of their visit to the Big Apple. Very cool. B)

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

The first thing that I saw was @cladking in blue. My eyes suck at coins.
It’s fun to see new things that we inflict on coins. Nice piece.

That's sort of where we landed, just wanted to share and see if anyone had seen it before. The company logo is hard to make out as well.
