One of the things I remember at the close of the SB 4 years ago was Kittle on the sideline saying I will be back, I will be back with a vengeance. You won’t get the best of me.
Well he was back, with seemingly no outward sign of vengeance, and the Chiefs did indeed get the best of him again.
Grade- 33%
Not sure if he made any more proclamations after this latest defeat.

He got 3 targets. Kind of hard to make an impact when your not even considered to be a focul point in the passing game.
We talking about it last night and laughed at how ridiculous it was that Kelce was allowed to get wide open in the middle of the field and Kittle was not.
If I'm Kittle I'm not even ashamed, I'm pissed off at the OC and Shanahan more than anyone
In the second half of the game yesterday I was thinking that SF should have tried a few "Kittle down the Middle" pass plays. It has worked well before.
As KC proved last night with Kelce, passing to your tight end can and does pay dividends.
More annoyed at Purdy who also missed multiple wide open TD passes. Kittle cant trade himself in the middle of the game

Annoyed that two players for SF (not Purdy) fumbled the ball.
C. Mac fumbled at the 27 yard line on the opening drive. SF was easily marching down the field and absent the fumble would have likely scored a TD or a field goal on their opening drive.
SF fumbled a kick off that lead to an immediate TD by KC to give KC the lead in the 3rd quarter.
Annoyed that SF missed an extra point in the 4th quarter that would have given SF a 17-13 lead (instead it was 16-13).
Annoyed that at 1:57 left in the 4th SF kicked a field goal to go up 19-16. Had the extra point been made SF would have had a lead of 20-16 with less than 2 minutes to play, forcing KC to score a TD instead of kicking a filed goal to tie the game with seconds left in the 4th quarter.
Annoyed that SF could not score a TD on its opening drive of overtime (reaching about the 4 or 5 yard line before kicking a field goal to take a 22-19-lead).
Also annoyed that the SF defense could not stop KC from driving on its only possession in overtime (taking about 7.5 minutes to do so) and scoring the winning TD with second left in the game. Annoyed that Mahomes is really, really, really good.
Also annoyed that KC's two turnovers (interception and fumble) would not lead to any points for SF.
Annoyed that SF had many players leave the field with injuries during the game.
Annoyed that SF made some very stupid penalties that negated good plays for SF.
But yeah, since Purdy only completed 23 of his passes and failed to complete 15 of his passes (a few of which were tipped by defending players) that is really annoying to a degree much greater than everything else the SF did do or not do in the game yesterday.
If SF had scored on its opening drive and/or had made the extra point it is possible and even likely that SF would have won the game and much of the above annoyance would vanish and be replaced with happiness and joy.
I am glad I am a Bronco fan, cuz No. Cal. Sports fans are in a very bad mood today
The OT clock for the SB wouldnt have ended the game, they would have just switched sides and started a new quarter if time ran out. They needed a stop to end it

Well I was annoyed for a long time that John Elway was really, really good. But it was sweet seeing him deliver the Lombardi trophy to the Chiefs after the game. 😎
Yeah, we all got a big kick out of seeing that. He had that horse-faced grin, that you could tell was forced, as he walked through the sea of red and all of the players closing in on him and trying to touch the trophy, and if you noticed, as soon as he got past the players, when he thought the camera was off of him, his face immediately turned sour, like that was the most horrible experience of his life! We loved it and laughed out loud at that!
Count…. I did notice the smile disappeared after he got through the Chiefs players. Awesome! 😂🥳
