Help please:
1) Would someone please explain to me how to do the @__________ (user name) I see so often on responses? Apologies for my ignorance.
2) Would someone please tell me how to contact the management of this forum?
Thank you!

If you type in @__________ (user name) then that person will receive a notification that they had been mentioned in a post and when they click on that notification at the top of the page it will offer them the opportunity to join the discussion.
By typing @HeatherBoyd she will now be notified of this post and hopefully you will receive a message from her, if not then just send her a message.
Welcome to the forum. Good luck.

You simply type the @ sign and then a member name.
@VarietyFan
You can PM a moderator if you need to talk to someone in authority on the forum.
Edited to add: When you are typing your post the tag @ will be black in color, it turns blue when you hit post.
Thanks for the information. (And the question) I didn't know that. James
Sure, like this:
@EScottCoins or @EScott83 or @TagTail or @Southside7
Easy, right?

Not sure of the intent here, but you really should keep your personal feelings away from posts. This person asked a legitimate question and you are attempting to harrass/hijack the thread with some personal beef. If you have a beef with someone, do it elsewhere.
^^ They're all the same person and have all been banned. The latest user is suspected to be the same person (link to the audit trail is posted farther up in this thread).
This particular thread may seem pretty innocuous....
I'd also like to point out that asking for tech help on a coin forum isn't a "Legitimate question" about U.S. Coins.
The substantial truth doctrine is an important defense in defamation law that allows individuals to avoid liability if the gist of their statement was true.
The audit trail was actually posted in the OPs other active thread, but I will link it here for reference also.

Oh yes, you are correct. I'm getting all the alt threads confused. 😵💫
It's really funny and very obvious. Here are a few posts by various alts.
Look similar at all?

There is a testing forum where you can test to your heart's content.

I don't know how to answer your question here. if you are on PC when you type @ then some characters, the forum will attempt to autofill with valid usernames. It looks like this where you can select the one you want to tag.
Collector, occasional seller
Odd. What would the point be of such inquiries if not to actually get answers?
Aping a new member.
Easy peasy
I'm sure that he did want the answers for whatever reason. My issue is that he has used multiple alt accounts and posed as other people strictly for the purpose of promoting his own business, denigrating all grading companies but particularly CAC, and insulting members of the numismatic community (recall the recent Rick Snow thread?).
If he wanted to insult or promote or whatever, fine, but he should stand up rather than resort to lying and deception.

@jesbroken, @ifthevamzarockin, @GaCoinGuy Thank you!
If you have an issue with him, why not contact him directly, rather than hiding behind a private profile here?
Seems the logical thing to do.
@lermish, don't you and detective dan have cacs stickers to go polish? This is a coin forum. THKS!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.
You see the obvious flaw in your logic right? That this guy is on at least alt profile #5 and is specifically lying to hid his identity?
Also, @blitzdude , let's talk once you make your first contribution to this board other than fighting your imaginary fight against CAC for whatever reason. THKS! RGDS! JFC!

Thank you, Lt. Lermish and Det. Dan, for peeling the onion, though, you make members cry.
Then why not simply report it and move on?
You seem strangely obsessed; if you don't like this person for whatever reason, then stop reading his posts. If you don't wish to do business with him, don't do business with him.
Go read some of the alts' posts. I really like this message board and I want it to be the best it can be. Having an alt troll running around for years does not square with that. So I'm doing what I can to bring attention to someone whose behavior is unethical and duplicitous.
Read any of these for a taste...

Yep.
Okay folks here is the bottom line.
There was another member with an alt that it was very clear who it was. I reported it to Heather and she looked into it.
I think she could also tell very easy it was the same member.
She used the forum software to check and found no common ties between the accounts.
The forum software is designed to check/track this kind of stuff. (IP, cookies & devise ID)
Even though it was clear it was an alt she would not remove the alt account without direct proof.
I think she contacted the member and asked them because a few days later the account was deleted.
I would guess the member told her it was him.
She left the original account active (still a member today) and just deleted the alt.
She is very fair and tries to protect members while getting rid of alts.
If a person is smart enough to defeat the forum software/security there is not much that can be done.
This is the only way to be fair to all members.
You wouldn't want her to delete your account just because someone said you had an alt.
I tagged her in one of the prior threads about all these possible alts, I'm sure she looked at it.
If you feel the desire to tag her in this thread I'm sure she will look at the information.
If the accounts remain active she is unable to prove it's the same person.
At that point everyone needs to forget about it and move on.
I have so much reading to do lol.
It’s quite the rabbit hole, more have even been traveled since this thread. Hopefully you don’t have much on your schedule today 😂.
