WHY SUCH A DROP OFF IN PRICE...

I sold a few of my psa 8 and 7 doubles... and the drop if is crazy in price...... Why such a big difference when half the 7's could get 8's

Jayson> Without knowing what it is you were selling, I can only say that the market is usually down some during the summer and picks up again in the fall and winter. If you want a less general answer, we'll need more specifics of your situation.

Are you talking about vintage or modern? I don't think anyone collects modern 7's.

    Collecting '52 Bowman, '53 Bowman B&W, and '56 Topps, in PSA-7.

    it is simple ecconomics.
    supply and demand.

There are more 7's than 8's in almost any card graded.
    and
There are more people collecting sets in 8 than in 7.

therefore, most people would rather have the rarer card
regardless of whether it "looks just like the 8" or not,
especially if they are involved in the PSA Registry - because
of the card weighting and rankings.
