PCGS grading progress question.

When your order details show "In Process" Being Imaged, is this previous to grading or post grading and previous to encapsulation. Just curious about procedure process.

  • I believe the imaging happens before the actual grading, but I’m new as well so I’m not totally sure :)

I'm going to bump this up, as I would like more information in this regard.

being imaged frequently shows before grading and sometimes remains until after shipped.

the other items go along sequentially
grading, encapsulation, Quality Assurance, shipping (your card is charged before shipped)

sometimes you have coins in hand before photos become available
depending on service level and any attributions the time in grading could ba a couple day to a couple weeks
