This coin was a wedding gift to my Mom and late Father 48 years ago. When I was telling my mom about my coin collection one day, she remembered about this and said I could have it. It sat in a plastic bag wrapped in a piece of cloth. Anyways, what do you think it would grade out of curiosity? Mom would be thrilled to see it in a graded capsule. Dont care if it costs more than its worth. Thanks for any opinions!!

VF details polished. It won't straight grade.
I wonder if you can get PCGS to give it a special label

I *think you can have it sent in for authentication and put into a holder without grading it.
There is a submission / request box before you hit submit in the online application. Might need to call pcgs to confirm.
F-VF, harshly cleaned. If all you want is to have it in a holder send it to ANACS and request a details grade. This should cost you less than sending it to one of the other TPGs. The coin has sentimental value but not much numismatic value.
It’s a nice memento! I agree with VF details and polished. You can buy a little plastic holder for it or get a 2x2 and write a label on it. I wouldn’t spend the extra money when it will come back in a details holder, but that’s obviously up to you.
Thanks for all the responses guys! It sucks it wouldn't straight grade. I may hold off on sending it in. I think ill put it in a air-tite and call it a day. Something ill keep forever. Once again, thanks!!
