Extremely Rare Quarter Mint Error "Crossing The Delaware"

ctf_error_coinsctf_error_coins Posts: 15,433 ✭✭✭✭✭

How many major mint errors are on the 2021 Crossing The Delaware quarter series?

This is the first that I have seen.

Please post any images you have of other Crossing The Delaware quarter error coins.

    It's a clip.
I thought clips were fairly common errors, not extremely rare.
Are they extremely rare for recent years, due to better accuracy in punching the planchets?

Show me just one more on this series. Show me any major error on this series.

Clips are more common pre 2002.

Clips are Extremely rare on post 2002 coinage.

I'm not sure if this would be considered major but not something you see everyday

Wow, nice coin and you got the mint error label.

Not quite a major error but still very cool and I would buy that one if it was for sale.

The second one is from paperchasesue on eBay. If you are an error coin collector, this seller is the best, open source for modern mint errors and you should watch their listings regularly.

Nice clip. I see quite a few die chips progressing on top of his hat, but then that would probably be classified a variety??

    How'd I miss that one.

    Very Nice.

I was very distracted the last year buying and fixing up our first house purchase.

    That'll definitely distract you.
On a related side note: I hope the recent heavy rains didn't flood you out.

Thank you. We live on the top of a hill so flooding will never be an issue.

We do get erosion which needs to be contained because of the steep hill.

We welcome the rain in San Diego.

The rain also brings out the Lobsters.

This photo is from last night on the kayak, Super windy and cold, but productive ...

Very nice error @GoldenEgg! Love the positioning, especially on the reverse!

Here’s one for $6. Seems reasonable
