Hi guys,
My first raw Morgan purchase in awhile!
I bought it for its beauty.
Do you guys think this can reach a 65?
Please excuse my many photos.
Whatcha guys think 🤔?
Thank You!

Can I please see a couple of more photos by chance?
No chance at 65 with that cheek. For future posts it would be more helpful to show 1 GOOD photo of each side that best reflect what the coin actually looks like. If you can’t show both color and luster (or mirrors or some other combination of attributes) in the same shot, maybe add one more. All of these photos lead me to be pretty confused as to what the coin looks like but I see enough chatter that I can limit the grade. Your best photos are probably the last two. I would guess 62-63.
Show pics of the coin straight on with good resolution. Play around with the lighting to get the result you want.
Where’s the option to agree strongly and repeatedly?😉

MS63 on a good day. MS62 on a bad day. Absolutely no chance at MS65.
Most likely a 63 IMO
Looks like a 62 to me.
Something also looks off about it. I don't know if it's because of the images or not.
Here's a 64 for comparison sake.

I would say 63 possible 64.

Thanks!
See, this is why I think my coin has a chance for a ms 65.
My coin does NOT have all these hits like your ms 64?
Your ms 64.

The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.
I think your coin is about a 63, remember that the marks you see on the 64dmpl are more obvious due to mirrored fields. I do think your coin has those marks as well, they just don’t show up quite as well in the pictures. Anyways, nice coin, enjoy it!

As a true Morgan dollar aficionado, Joey, yours is a very nice coin and I'd say it as above average Unc. example!
As I was going through your photos, I was thinking a 63. Nice coin!
I too was thinking 63 as I was looking through pics.
Nice coin!
Based on this photo which is probably the most honest but still lacking, I'd say 63. Honestly though the pictures are not good enough to grade with any accuracy.
AU cleaned
My initial feeling was au55 cleaned, but not my series at all.
I’d have to agree with the 63 guesses.
The first series of photos has given the surface of the coin a peculiar porous look.
The later series is much better.

OP has a unique ability to make a coin look like an animation, like it was a painting or it was generated by AI.
That said, I agree with the ms-63 assessment based on the last two photos.

Joey, on your example, Liberty’s face (which is the focal point) is noticeably marked. Your coin has approximately a 0% chance at a 65 and an extremely low one at a 64.
Keep in mind that flaws are accentuated on PL and DMPL coins.

Asking for comments based on photos is simply asking for disappointment or flattery. Sorry, but just have it graded.

It is 63 tops, but I'm not sure how an accurate judgement can be made from the pictures.
Experts such as MFeld have forgotten more about grading than I will ever know, so if they say 63, that's probably as accurate as possible.
Unc details could be possible. The surfaces look possibly heavily dipped to me. I hope this does not dampen Joey's enthusiasm for the hobby, which is a joy to follow.
I should add that I got similarly burned when I was new to the hobby in the early 80s, paying over $100 for a $50 coin. It came back from ANACS MS 63. I never bought anything else from that seller, who knew better.
I learned that if I was going to pay over $100 for a Morgan, it must be in plastic.
It looks polished.
Thanks again, guys.
Next question. I paid $65
1. Too much?
2. just about right?
3. great deal?
