Apparently the letters on either side of the 1 help determine the rarity.

MV seems to be a valuable one; ebay has high Sold prices for it, and numista shows a very low frequency for it.

Thanks guys! Had no idea what they were.
MV is the only one with value to speak of. The others are sold in bulk.
These ration tokens also come in blue. An interesting time in history for sure

Our first home my wife and I purchased was built in 1914. When we tore the carpet up during remodeling, we found several of these -red and blue, stuck between the wall and the carpet tack strip. They also used wheat cents as shims inside the door handles and latches.

People were much more resourceful back then. You can find all sorts of contraptions in old houses

I was wondering if anybody out there in Queensland can what they might be worth if anything and see if they would be worth having graded or not I'm going to try to add pictures to the message
The numista price guide shows all of them except for the MV are worth about US$0.20 (20 cents) each.
So not worth getting graded.
5 Billion made. That's a big number.
