I got this off eBay a while back. This one has some sort of color issue on the side. What would cause something like that?
I have ordered a PSA 6 clean image on it.

Printing plate might have been worn out/bad...during printing.
Thanks. I'm glad it wasn't on the rookie card.

I wonder if that is a confirmed reoccurring print defect? If so, I need one for my Cardinals collection. Or is it a one time thing?

I haven't seen it on any other of my cards. Send me a pm if you want this card.

May have been left in the sun by a window. Bleach/fading like effect from the sun. I have seen packs for sale left in store windows where the wrappers colors were washed out from the sun. This would affect the colors, more noticable, than the white areas.
that's possible..

Could also be overexposure to artificial light. Long time ago saw some shops have those lighted, rotating display cases. They were originally used for watches or jewelry. Saw many cards faded from their years of staying in those lighted cases. They did not constantly rotate. You pressed a button to rotate the display until it stopped at the tray where the card was that you wanted to see. Otherwise the trays stayed stationary. Thereby causing the light to shine on the cards indefinitely until rotated, hence causing fading.
