I have kept my New Year's Resolution into February...buy more Roberto Clemente cards. I won this in the latest Memory Lane Auction...and received it today (1/31) but didn't open it until now (2/1). It is just a print fish eye away in the word "Pirates" from a PSA-9.

Absolutely gorgeous! Now that is the way to start the month off.
Nice Clemente!!
These arrived a few days ago but didn't open until this morning. (my favorite Bench card of all so I am super-excited for this one).

First auto for the month:
Some great stuff on day 1 of the month! That Clemente is just beautiful and I'm not sure there is a better card than 1976 Johnny Bench.
Added another hand cut

I bought a bunch of 2023 TSC blasters - nothing exciting.
I did hit a milestone tho. 20 yrs here!
It's been fun and time sure flies!
I think that Bench is the perfect example of what a baseball card should look like. I love the dirt flying at the bottom.
Card has it all. My favorite Topps set.
I bought this. It's on the way to authenticator..

I've always loved that Schmidt rookie. Great get.
Are those cloth stickers in a holder that is different from the others? The cert # seems new, so is this a new holder?
I pulled those out of a wax box that I bought early in 2023 (I like to RIP). I'd never done a cloth box before and had to check that off my bucket list. All were holiday specials.
About half I submitted came back as Miscut which was a real bummer, because those included Rose, Carew and Fidrych rookies.
Mail day for Daniel! A couple of '66 Topps High Numbers. I started collecting the Hi series in July 2022 - down to only needing 4 now.
One more for the PSA Iconic 90s Cards registry set!

Had some big pick-ups in January - the Diamond Stars is my oldest card as I think I am going to start collecting some pre-war. Really excited that I won the Clementes as I love PSA 8.5s. The '62 Kaline is one I have been trying to get for a while but always seem to come up short. Loved the color on the Aaron - '57s can look great when they are printed well and I liked the color on this one.
Beautiful pickups Brad, from Memory Lane!

Some amazing Clemente cards this month - 8.5’s 😳 My little contribution as I stockpile more Bench cards - love the 76 set.
A purchase from my local card shop.
.
Local card shop purchase. Owner bought a T206 collection recently so I grabbed the best Cub of the bunch...lol.
Will probably get this graded.

Nice Rack...
First Quarter Purchases (Arriving in February - Still Counts, Right?)
Broadening my Bryce Harper Heritage Collection (Yes, I know the last one is an Archive - But Harper and Trout on the same card can't hurt, can it?
Not my main PC focus, but scratches my modern itch....
Seem to be going up in price since I started. Must be close to Spring Training....

Got this signed at a show in November. Building a set of autographed cards of each member of the 2016 World Series Championship team.
Another low pop Wake for the Red Sox PC. I think it's his first Red Sox refractor though I'm not 100% sure.
three more bretts to start the month.
Just purchased this one, hasn't arrived yet.
Hard to believe how much rarer this is than the Topps counterpart.
That’s a nice one, Joe!

I am not sure if I am going to see if this will cross in a PSA holder, but happy to have a Pujols rookie in the collection.

Beautiful Orval - congrats!
My dad passed away a little over two years ago. One of his favorite players was Thurman Munson. I remember when I was a kid in the 80s when he told me the story of Thurman dying in a plane accident and when he cried during the ceremony the Yankees held the next day. I didn't understand until I was older why my Dad would cry about a player that he never knew personally.
My dad never got around to starting his Munson set, so I thought I'd do it in his memory. I picked up these cards in February. The 1971 Munson when it comes to baseball cards, really does not get any better, the trophy, the action shot, and the black borders. While a PSA8 is probably out of range for now, I found this really nice centered PSA7 recently. Arriving the same day was his 1974 topps card in PSA8 as well. I wish I could show them to him. However, it is great having this board to share my collection with.
I am a BIG Munson fan too. That guy was just the coolest. I love getting his cards too. He didn't get to play long, but has some of the most iconic cards from all the 70s.
That 78 is one of my all-time favorites.
