**Maybe a better question is: Has anyone have any good or bad dealings with Tangible Investments? Do tell.

They advertise heavily on the radio in SO CA claiming to offer the highest prices on coins, jewelry etc.
Please share your good/bad/indifferent/experiences in selling coins to them.

I tried contacting them once about a $5,000 coin to ask about an area of blurriness in one of their photos, and they never contacted me back. Couldn’t tell if the problem was on the slab or the coin itself, and apparently they don’t have time for simple questions. I completely ignore them at shows and online now.

There seems to be a few around that do that. I don't waste anytime with it, jmo

I have had some interactions with Ron Remmer at Tangible Investments. He was always timely in email responses. They have some really nice inventory, but are a bit high on their prices.

Sil was a co-founder of PCGS, very knowledgeable. I normally chat with Mike when i see him at shows but I havent done any business with them that I can recall. Typically high end type inventory, and as others have said they tend to be on the high end of retail pricing. They dont handle many inexpensive coins, I think the cheapest coin ive ever seen in their case was a 1904 $20 in 65cac.

Back 25 years or so ago I spoke to the founder DD mentioned who was quite friendly and helpful, as I recall they were making a market in DMPL Morgans.

I drove past their store on Pacific Coast highway last Saturday and recognized the name from the radio commercials, very high rent district.

I bought a few early US type coins from them when Gary Carlson worked there in the 1995+ timeframe. I found them fair in their dealings. I have to admit I never found Sil a very friendly person. They had a nice shop in Laguna Beach.

Gary Carlson was a very knowledgeable numismatist and a great guy. Worked with him in assembling some of my collections. RIP.
