Previously housed in PCGS or NGC.

Or currently holdered in PCGS or NGC if stickered before (I think) June 2023.

Thanks. That’s interesting currently NGC. When I put the CERT # in it shows up but when I check population it says 0

Speaking of CAC are they already resorting to this?

Every TPGS does it; give the collector what they want, right?

They never said they wouldn't (if I recall correctly) and everyone certifies them, so why not?

Those were among the first coins they graded, and yes, TPGs need moderns for revenue. Theres only so many classic coins to be certified...

How long was PCGS in business before they started grading them? Seems like a waste of talent to me unless some junior grader is doing them.

If you want to be considered the creme de la creme of grading services it sort of cheapens the brand in my view. I suppose one plus is that instead of ordering blank slabs 25,000 at a time you can order 250,000 at a time.

Remember how selective they were when first stickering coins? No moderns, no ANACS, no PCI, no SEGS, no ICG, etc.

Apples to oranges, In 1986 when PCGS opened the majority of classics were not yet graded.

CACG has interns/junior graders so I doubt that John butler is the one grading ASE's.

    This.

The volume is all in moderns. Go look at the pops.

This is a different company and it grades coins, rather than sticker them.

I'm going to predict that the founder label will bomb. Who wants an unknown name on their slab?

At least confound them with a gold modern for "Nugget"! :D

Ironically, Paul Nugget is known for being a classic gold dealer. Not someone I would expect to see on a silver eagle slab, seems pretty gimmicky imo.

    I'm certainly aware of that.

Not much of nothing. I had one guy at recent show come to my table try tout that in selling it / high asking price. The coin was a dog - referred him to guy across the aisle. Heard that convo - when that dealer offered him bluesheet seller walked off in a huff.
