PSA authentic?

effeeffe Posts: 190 ✭✭

What is the proper way to request an authentic grade on a submission? I had a ticket sub I submitted at the National and I told the rep there to note I wanted an "Authentic" grade one one of them. I even went so far as to go back later and confirm he had requested it. 5 and half months later the ticket comes back with a numerical grade. Now I am contemplating another submission but there is one ticket I really want graded authentic. So my question is, is there some trick to it, or is it just hit or miss?

Since you are only specifically given the option for Authentic grade only when you submit for dual grading, the best thing you can do is put it in the notes box at the bottom of the submission so it is on record, and that way if they miss it, you can open a ticket and call them out that you specified what you wanted. Then for added efficiency, put a post-it note on the thing asking for authentic only. As for your National submission, I would have opened a ticket on that one as well for them to fix it, but I'm curious what your paperwork said that you got back when you dropped it off (don't you create the submission and print it out, then hand it in?)
