1901-o 25c. Bought today at local coin show for $40. What do you think, AG-3.75 or G-4?

Sorry for blurry obverse. but that one is easier to grade.
Thank you!

G-4
G-4
Solid 4. Would need better pictures to see if it would squeak out a 6

Good but definitely not better than G-4.

Classic G4

Is the "L" visible in the hair band ?
AG3. If the rim is gone so is the G4 grade. On this coin the reverse rim is gone. This is a coin most dealers would sell as a G4 but would buy as an AG3.
G4
Thank you all for your opinions on the grade! It seems that a Barber Quarter can be G-4 with about 2/3 to 3/4 of the reverse rim outline. Assuming the obverse rim is complete.
no
I think with 2/3 to 3/4 rim, a Barber Quarter is graded a G4. The rim is not totally gone. If it were more gone than it is, I would call it an AG too.

I have a New Orleans worn pocket change type set and I think my Motto quarters (that bookend the the mint’s production window) show the difference decently.

OP's coin is an easy G4. I like 1901-O quarters in any grade!
Any dealer "generously" offering to buy a Barber quarter with that amount of detail, obverse and reverse, as an AG is not someone I want to do business with. On the other hand, if they sell their stock that looks just like that as AG, well then maybe I'd buy from them. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one, though.

Could end up G-06.
Cool date. G4 in my book.

MD, this is helpful! Thank you!
A good example! Thank you!
Obverse looks G6 all day long, reverse is a bit more worn, but I could see this one grade G6 with our hosts.
G-4 for sure, nice pick up as well
Always enjoy looking at grades side by side like that. great learning tool. Thanks @Manifest_Destiny
Definitely a G4.

G4 seems reasonable
