Went to the red river valley coin show today in Fargo, N.D. good crowd and many dealers set up. Lots of nice coins but I was in more of a selling mode as my girlfriend is going through chemo treatments and the bills keep coming. I sold a $1,000 bill, a $10 bison note and a $5 chief note. Purchased 3 1986 proof gold statue of liberty PCGS PR69 coins at melt and $50 face of mixed 90% silver at melt. Saw many familiar faces and had a good time.

I'm glad you had a good time, but more importantly best wishes to your girlfriend for a speedy and complete recovery.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
I happen to be in Minnesota. I have been to Fargo a few times but didn't know they had a coin show. Just curious, do you see much Seated material? James
I lived up that way (Detroit Lakes, Grand Forks) while in grad school (UND).
I didn't collect coins that much then because of student poverty, but I did score over a dozen Canadian large cents digging through a DL coin shop junk box.
Best wishes for your girlfriend's recovery.
Hope you profited well with your sold items to help with the bills. Positive thoughts sent your way to your girlfriend.
Thanks for the show report. Hope your girlfriends chemo treatments go well and she will soon be on the road to recovery.

Thanks so much for the kind wishes for my girl friend. One more che.o treatment left then 15 radiation treatments then she will hopefully be done. To answer yes there are some nice seated coins at the show. There were some CC dimes, quarters, halves and dollars there. An 1872-cc dollar, 72 and 73-cc halves, a 72-cc quarter don't remember any of the gig 4 cc dimes there.
A speedy recovery to the wife, my regards 🙏
Prayers for your girlfriend - may she have a complete recovery.....
I'm glad that the weather cooperated for once as that excellent small show has very often run into blizzards and -20º temperatures in the past. It always used to be held on Super Bowl weekend until the playoffs expanded and pushed "The Big Game" back a couple of weeks. (Best of luck to the girlfriend)
Surprised he gave away the PCGS PR69 1986-S Sol $5 stat Lib at melt. CPG MV $650 each. We’re they nice?
Yes all were nice coins in pcgs slabs. Purchased price was $488 each. He did have constitution $5 pcgs pr-69's for the same price but I like the design better on the statue of liberty coins.
Yes like the sol design better, way to go -super pickup!
