1967 Kennedy half dollar
how many digits does you coin scale do? 12 or 12.1 or 12.12 ?
I'm not sure at what weight would pcgs error service consider calling it an error, but the regular grading service wouldn't make a habit of weighing every coin through
The coin is weighing 13.00 grams on my scale. I calibrated against 50 gram weight. I also compared it to 12 other half dollars 1966 through 1968 and they weigh 11.32 through 11.54
Could a be a slightly thick planchet taking the mint tolerance of .19g into account.
Can you supply a picture of both sides. A TPG would not weigh the coin unless it
was requested which would add to the cost.
the important "side" is a photo of it between 2 "regular" half dollars such that you can see the height of all three. but a scale is the main tell. The error coin experts here will have to chime in with more info, questions and suggestions. though a photo of each side is helpful since if it is an error coin the value will also depend upon how beat up it is.
