Hi guys.
While CoinRollHunting. I came across this phenomenon! A Jefferson Nickel with some sort of Strike Through/Lamination?
I'm VERY excited about this find! Also, besides your input of information. I'm praying, Mr. Fred Weinberg, gives his 2 Cents.
Ready to place on Ebay! lol I might even send in to our Host for grading and with that official designation?
Thanks guys.
Notice. As where I Highlighted in Blue. The Peeling effect!
Also, in Blue. Straight borders of dividing metals! Showing no acid was used to form this wonder.
Peeling Effect!
I did weigh it.
Normal wt. 4.9

A little to pixeled the pics but overal OK.
I know is use the term LAM for the molecular separation of the metal used. In this case it is correct say Lam because mean union of two different materials by different procedures, as plating, gluing, cladding and etc.
In your case I see foreign material. Reason: The part you state was ex-foliate do not show the molecular structure of the alloy use in Nickels. The material will separate according with the molecular structure. which could be horisontal = foliation or ex-foliation, 2. horisontal and partial vertical = more drastic ex-foliation with partial crack and 3. complete vertical which it is crack.
So Conclusion: Foreign material (your pic transformed in 3D), color of the part in question, the boundryies of this part and the Molecular form.
Sorry not to be as a report and also for the gramaire.

Not so sure. Looks more like something affixed to the coin. If was mine I would take a razor to one edge to see if could be lifted. If came up easily would tell me alot.
Looks like something stuck on the surface.
Let's see? I'll soak in acetone.

Could be. With those surface cracks may be old glue cracks.
Yep! You guys are amazing!
Right you are. It WAS glue or tape, WOW!
Thank you ALL. Lesson learned.
