Old Anacs photograde coin

I picked this coin up at our club auction earlier in the week, listed it on ebay, the ebay customer who got it today said it is not the same coin. The guy who owned it and whose name is on the holder has been an active and honorable member of a number of coin clubs. A coin that's been in the holder all those years tones usually is my thought. Anacs did not assign a numerical grade to the coin. The coin in the flip is clearly a d/d as the club president said.

So is the ebay buyer forcing a return?

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
You have to take returns on ebay. The customer said it was not the same coin as in the pictures, but after 40 plus years you get some toning, and frankly it's pointless to get into arguments with ebay customers.
So what do you do if he returns it with a different coin?
Just do the refund. No point in arguing with such people.
When you get the coin and certificate back take a loupe and look for bag marks on the coin and see if you can find them in the picture. This way you can make sure that the guy did not switch coins on you.
I may have handled the coin, but it is a common variety. Back then we only graded coins if the submitter requested grading. Some people sent in varieties just for attribution.

P.S.: It is not a "Photograde" coin. That was a different, later company. This is an ANACS Photo Certificate coin.
Just do the refund, block the bidder and move on as quickly as possible.
It regrettable to have that happen, but I'd agree to do the refund and move on.
Feel the love, and be charged 9% for doing so. Feepay......................
As long as you get the same coin back, then you have options to submit for grading. Good luck. Peace Roy

Probably not worth sending off for grading. I paid $26 at our club auction/listing and already have two ground advantage shipment costs connected to a $40 sale.
