POP REPORT - SMR

I know this will probably catch a lot of flack because it is not something "E-Special" such as 72 Topps Basebal!! But anyway I sometimes go way out and collect something probably not too accepted here on the "SET REGISTRY" - - such as 96/97 Basketball! I have tried to keep this under wraps but there it's out now! So the deal is this: I have e-mailed PSA several times to correct the SMR for this set and so far have not been able to get anything done. I know this is not BJ's area but nothing else works. They list 96/97 Finest Basketball on the SMR - "TWICE" - I know, you think "So what?" Well, both are the same - they list Ray Allen on the set in both listings - but he is the only player listed in the set! Ray Allen has had 1130 cards graded. And another player has 7523 cards graded but he is not listed - that would be Kobe Bryant of the lakers! There are several other strong rookies in this set also. I have tried several times over the past year to get this corrected but no luck. And the POP for this set is pretty good except for one player that I don't recall being in this set - I could be wrong! Anyone remember John Elway? I thought he played with an oblong ball with kinda pointed ends. Any ideas? Thanks - - - Rick

When was the last time you saw one of the 72 Topps Baseball collectors slam someone else for what they collect? I can't remember it happening. If you have a passion for a Set Registry item that isn't being discussed - then raise the issue yourself.
No need to be sarcastic about someone elses passion. And I wish you the best of luck on your collections including 96/97 Basketball. Thanks for listening.

If you were lookin to just stir things up - then MY apologies! You caught me before my first cup of coffee this morning. As for the SMR, I'd try the scatter-gun approach and shoot the note to BJ, Gayle, Lyle, Charlie and Joe Orlando and ask if they have any idea on who would be the person to help resolve this. I'm sure that you'd get someone to respond back. I know that BJ has been swamped this past week with Gayle being on vacation and the "Zardoz - 75% free grading" monster thread.
If you don't get any response within a week via email. I've found that a phone call generally gets things moving. I've spoken to Lyle and Charlie in the past and then been passed to their researcher to resolve Pop report issues - so I'm betting that thats probably the same folks you'll need to talk to.
Sorry - if I bit back too quickly. Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend!
