I found this in a bank roll a couple of years back!! I have this object right about where the dot should be! Does anyone have any opinions as to its authenticity?

    Welcome to the forum

Not the dot cent the dot is in the wrong position.
There are only 3 in existence and they are all Specimen strikes.
All 3 were minted at the same time by the mint master and none were put into circulation.
It is a waste of time looking for one. The only ones you may find are the Chinese counterfeit ones.

I agree with Greenstang is that it is either a fake or there is a small chip or rust pit in the die . It is definitely not where and how the Mint purposely placed the dot to achknowledge the new Monarch, before they were able to put a new King on the Obverse. Every year there are 3-4 posts about someone finding a 1936 dot in circulation, from different coin sites. But the real ones were Specimen strikes for circulation, as only 3 to 5 are known to exist.

Not a dot cent. I have seen many images of the dot cents that exist over the years when I use to collect Canadian coins and this is 100% not a dot cent.
