@Crepidodera AU GTG thread was interesting, so I thought I'd try it with VF quarters. All VF grades are represented - VF20-25-30-35. See if you can tell the difference. I realize it will be easy to cheat, but hopefully no one will.

Don,
My initial grades were identical to @seatedlib3991 so I'll change my order slightly - 30,25,20,35

Revealed. Honestly, I don't think grading is all that consistent in the VF range. 4 grades for VF is really too many.
The coin graded 25 is clearly inferior to the coin graded 20. I've never been a fan of TPG grading of circulated Libertry Seated coins. Too much inconsistency.
things like this are great fun and I am grateful to get to play but it is beating a dead horse to say "You have to grade for yourself, grading services do the important job of authentication
and you do the important job of assigning a grade." Otherwise I wouldn't have to reject 3 out of 4 coins I look at because they are ugly, detail in straight, or don't meet my grade standard.
thanks again though, James
Agree 100%
Nice original coins!
Sorry but I forgot to post that the words in para from my earlier quote are not mine. That is a Bowers quote that has been taped to my computer monitor for 30 years. don't want people thinking I am smarter than I am. james
