This got delivered this week. Bought the coin through an Ebay auction. The picture are the best I could do. What does everyine think?

Most of you were spot on. Especially those who noticed the die polish as a VAM 1H. The coin is not attributed but it is obvious, probably saved me a few bucks on the sale price. I had been looking for a 21 for my set for a while, I wanted a well struck example and this fit perfectly. I feel the coin is very appropriately graded at 63 and have seen 64s that look very similar.

I like the look, even the battle scar on the cheek.
I might guess MS64, just so hard to tell from weak strike and wear on the obverse. But if all the lines in the fields are die polish lines I'll stick with the MS guess.

AU details harshly cleaned
I’m going to revise my opinion slightly: AU details pvc
Looks like reed marks on both sides.

I like it as a 63, I don't think I would complain at 64. Although the more I look the more I sway towards 64.
Also VAM 1H
Edit: I am now* between 64 and 65 That's a real looker!

@1madman
I can say some odd things at times, but what was the lol on my post for?

Perhaps because you didn’t agree with his “AU details harshly cleaned” guess?😉

I originally forgot that a version of this coin had the extreme die polish marks. The lol was for the satin idea, but I think you’re right that something is off on the coin’s surfaces. The pictures are somewhat offsetting from each other, but milky shadows on a coin will make me pause.
I like it at 64.
Looks good enough for a 64 to me.
Quite the difference in appearance between photos.
Solid 63.

If it's cleaned it's a cleaned I don't think I'd personally mind.
But if you said it was a 64 I wouldn't doubt it.

The die pair that was used for the Satin Proofs was then used for business strikes. It does not mean that they are Satin Proofs.
Therefore, business strike coins attributed to that die pair are often noted as from Satin Proof dies. PCGS did this until recently.

Good strike. Good luster. Unfortunate hit on the cheek. I am at 63. I am assuming the lines in the upper left field are die polish.

I like it as a 63
I just viewed 20 1921 Peace$ iin PCGS holders graded MS64 andmost had far more cheek damage than this coin. Many were awful, the ones with fairly clean cheeks showed the owners pride in the asking prices.
I think MS64 would be my guess. Love the color also. Nice pickup.

I'd say MS64. There are a couple of things in the fields I don't like, and few reed marks, but luster seems to be pretty nice. Strike is above average for the issue.

63 i like the underlined toning in your pic

Nice coin offer it to me.
MS64+
I didn’t know pcgs used this trickery wording on the labels for these. I’m glad they quit using the added description because it’s glamorizing something that isn’t exactly there. If a coin has the same die polish marks, fine give it a vam number, but don’t attempt to prop it up into something like a specimen/special status when it’s closer to end of life for the dies using normal planchets. I appreciate you telling me this. Learned something new.
Nailed the GTG
What I like about this one is the stronger strike.
Nice pickup
