A new add to my master list of bad CN counterfeits in fake "PCGS" holders.

1st 1890-CC and 1st slab to be labeled "Morgan" for a so-called MS62 grade. Uses a genuine cert #, but of course doesn't look anything like the genuine one.

I've seen a few fakes that all seem to use gold shield cert numbers. I'm baffled as to why they pick those because the TrueViews in all the cases were vastly different than the coin in the slab.
Another dead giveaway is the the label on the reverse being partially peeled back. Should be inside the slab where thats not possible.
I do not handle many Morgans, do any of the inserts holding the coin look like that?
I went into a coin shop a couple of weeks ago and they had one display case set up with a grading quiz of sorts.
The majority of the coins were counterfeit with a mix of raw and in plastic.
The quiz was can you spot the counterfeits.
It was nice to see a dealer trying to educate people that walked into his store.
He must be getting a lot of them coming through the door.
Good info, nice work @burfle23 . Have a good day. Peace Roy
