Grading question

If I submit a coin for grading and there are errors or peculiarities that I don’t know about and are not in my description, will the grading service identify those?

Only if they are Redbook listed varieties.

  • Sorry, what does Redbook listed mean?

There are varieties listed in the Redbook of coins like the 1955/55 doubled die obverse, a "Hotlips" Morgan or the 1937 D 3 legged buffalo. If they are listed in the Redbook they will note it on the holder without you asking them to. If you don't know what the Redbook is or don't have a copy of it you should get one.
