Removed, these examples don't belong on this thread, my bad
I don’t think any of the above coins is ugly. Perhaps we should have another thread for the pretty ones!
I missed the OP's meaning, I thought he meant to post toners to counter talk about ugly toners.
Yes.
The assignment was lost on a two of the above members.

When I saw those coins, I thought it was an inside forum joke because they're so stunning.
I have the ugly toning department covered:
I've been meaning to acetone or MS70 this one for a long time now... I think there is some pretty in there somewhere.

Sorry if you purchased any of these from me!
First two pics are from Stacks; definitely made the coin look worse than it is. Second set are my shots.
p55. Not the greatest look but not too bad. Try and find another in grade!
here are some uggos in my WQ set
Nothing is as expensive as free money.

And then there is this masterpiece 🙃
This one was a gift from a friend who stored some proof sets in one of those high moisture fireproof safes. It actually looked worse when he gave it to me. He wanted me to experiment on it to see if I could stop the corrosion. I soaked it in a dilute solution of phosphoric acid, roughly equivalent to the amount of phosphoric acid in Coca Cola. All the spots used to be dark brown, but the phosphoric acid made them gray. Not much of an improvement, but it did stop the active corrosion that was going on. This was about 20 years ago, but I just took the picture recently.

One side ugly, one side not. In a PCGS-67 holder ...
If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

This is arguably one of the uglier coins I own. Despite that I really like this coin and I kept it when selling off most of my colorful war nickels. It looks like it might have been at the end of a roll for a while. The reverse is really quite nice.

I'm in a bit of a quandary as to hit the "Like" button for coins in this thread...

Ugly, but still loved!
I don't know. Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. Many of these here I would take to the dance.
Not the best toning.

This was an interesting one. Figure it sat in a mint bag and acquired the toning. I kinda like the obverse and better luster then photo shows, but the reverse, yuck. It was in an old soap bar and cheap.
This one has purple toning. Im hoping it will turn to a better color in the holder.

My father's safe was a fortified swamp. It was so absurdly bad that some of the proof sets are actually mildewed. A few with cardboard inserts developed vibrant toning, but I won't include them here since they're fairly attractive.

I had one like that. Most likely water seeped in and caused damage.
Yeah, "water".
