Dropped thru letter and number errors are extremely rare.

This is the first broken dropped letter that I have seen.

I even googled "Broken R Ranch" for some reason because it sounded like a ranch name and there is one :)

I love cool struck thru error coins so post one if you have one.

I got a PM yesterday saying this coin is too complex for this crowd.

Apparently he was right as there were zero replies and 3 likes in 24 hours.

Parking lot coins threads get a ton of replies.

Apparently parking lot coin threads are way more interesting. :(

    I gave you a like, it's a cool coin. :)

It's a nice coin and as you mentioned a very rare error.

"Apparently parking lot coin threads are way more interesting."

Run over it with your car and maybe you will get more replies. :D>:)

I just noticed this thread now.
I don’t have any Struck Through errors to post but I do like that one.
Have seen many dropped letters but that is the first time that I have seen a broken one.
Don’t know how it could be too complex, looks like a pretty straight forward dropped letter
    except that it is broken.
Did you find this raw or did you buy it?

I like nice stuck through errors. But, yeah, they aren't for everyone. I've got a couple.

    Here's an 1883-CC GSA graded MS64

This coin is raw as a previous owner thought they could clean it, but it's still pretty cool. It's struck through saw dust with very deep mirrors.

Here's some images with the fields lit up.

And a Dime that ANACS was some how able to determine the date as a 1947-S.

Yes, that is a very interesting error. Just wondering why our host did not word it, "Dropped Letter" on the slab? Plus, shouldn't the obverse be featured instead of the reverse?
