I'm bored so and a new DMPL showed up today so I wanted to do a GTG.
What do you think?

    Nice 1885-O!

I’m going to guess MS-65 PL
Edited to add: I carelessly overlooked the description of DMPL above. Sorry

63 on the theory that the reverse matters less.

Very clean fields, MS65 DMPL maybe better.

    MS64

    When in doubt, don't.

I think the couple of light marks are enhanced because of lighting and PL.

    66 holder, 66+ upgrade nowadays.

I'll give it until 6:00 pm then I will reveal it.
It's definetly DMPL or I would have returned it.

With the new pics I can see some nicks that I didn't see in the original pics. I'm no higher than 65 DMPL now.

There is a reason an in hand review helps. Not seeing a DMPL based on the expectations of today- I like the coin and the contrast. I see a 64 as the limit and whether it grades PL or DMPL, depends on the grader(s) that saw it in hand and I did not.

We do it for the fun of it. I like the coin that's for sure. Seems a little undergraded to me.

Other shots looked 65, slab shot looks 63!

This looks under graded to me too.

Before seeing the grade posted, I had guessed 64 all day. Potentially an undergraded coin! Only one way to know... B)

The fields look really clean for a ‘63. There are some hits on Liberty’s cheek but they seem superficial.
