My Leaf FB PSA 10's - All Self Subbed
I'm a big fan of Leaf product and break way too many boxes. I've been grading them for a while and have a pretty decent self-subbed PSA 10 collection (IMHO of course!)
I know a lot of people don't care for Leaf or Wild Card, but as a modern FB collector, I enjoy ripping Leaf products more than any product I ripped from Panini or Topps. The designs are more interesting than Panini's modern and I like collecting autographs. Leaf's QC declined a bit in 2022. I believe it's because production went up for Leaf Metal with all of the variations.
Here is the first set - Aidan Hutchison. I think that the Hutchinson's UM cards will always have a following at least in the Detroit area. The Portrait and Action cards are #/4 and #/5 respectively. I'll post more if there is interest.

Aidan is a beast and I am so happy he went to my lovable Lions. As a Michigan native, always great to see a fellow collector. Keep them coming. Go Blue!
Keeping it in the Big 10, here are a couple of Garrett Wilson's I subbed. He caught 95 balls from the horrible Jets QBs. IF Rodgers stays healthy, Garrett is a lock for a 110+ catch season. The Zebra is #/5.
Like the look of the orange crystal.
The profile Leaf Metal cards have some good shots. Here are a couple of bittersweet subs - x2 2021 Pro Set Power Bryce Young Campus Kings Auto. These cards came packed in a stack in a hard plastic case. A lot of cards had corner damage in box. I should have sold at the start of the year but I thought he would have a better than avg rookie season, I was wrong.
Those are Super Cool...
I started buying more Leaf in 2021 when NIL started and they expanded their product line. They went to cheaper packaging for some of the lower end products, instead of individual sleeves the cards were in a team set hard plastic holder, this led to a lot of corner damage on the bottom cards. I hit a LOT of Trevor Lawrence Auto RCs. On top of that I got 8 more Trevors when I traded my Bryce Young redemptions. I thought I was going to cash out this year but it looks like they will be sitting in my investment case for another off season.
Here is the first set of Trevors. I got 5 Leaf Metal RC from the Leaf Trade, 3 got 10's and 2 got 9's.
These are some nice cards. You are the king of Leaf. I know you have said you pick up boxes here and there and have a bunch of Montanas. How many boxes have you gone through?
I've probably opened up five figures worth of Leaf boxes over the past 2-3 years. 2022 Leaf was my biggest buy since the NIL roster is so deep. If you are a college football fan like me, Leaf is the best. That may seem like a lot, and it is, but some of that money was recycled through from singles I sold.
I used to spend the money on Panini but the cost/return was horrible. I would hit a huge card here and there that would make up for the whole mess but as box prices rose I couldn't justify it anymore. The newer Leaf product is getting more expensive and the QC is not as good. My strategy is to try to hit 10's on specific QBs to make the return. It worked out pretty good in 2021 and 2022 but I'm not so sure on 2023.
I ripped five 2021 Pro Set Metal FB Boxes when they came out. It was an interesting product with 6 Autos and 6 Base metal cards. I don't think the base metal cards were that popular since they were pulled from the 2023 Pro Set Metal.
I pulled three Trevor's overall - 2 Autos and 1 Base, all a purple variant. All got 10's. I sold the base Trevor at the start of this year. I kept these two, probably should have sold them. I like the retro Pro Set look of these cards. The Purple Crystal is also a no name variant, #/5.
I was looking through my singles case and realized that I am a Colts fan. After he got injured I just put his cards in my star case with the rest of the higher end autos, time goes by and BANG! I have a big bet on Anthony Richardson. I pulled all these from boxes.
Does Leaf ever have on card autos? Or are they always stickers?
