1st Trip to NYINC Since 2020

A bit easier with an LIRR terminal at Grand Central. That change at Jamaica was a bit tricky, though.
Check-in was time consuming as they check for photo id and then issue a pass with your photo on it.
Today, I was a man with a plan, looking for Holy Year numismatica. Not too much available, except for (no surprise) Allen Berman.
Maybe if I had more time, I spotted some gorgeous Byzantine bronze and then there was a Stolberg Taler that strongly tempted me. However, it would be an acquisition without a home. If only it was 17th century . If I do return to the show, I will buy it, I think.

I haven’t been to the show yet due to other commitments today, but so far I struck out on EVERYTHING I bid on, both US and world. And I had strong bids.

    Damn! Prices are very strong!

I won 2 pieces (out of 6 targets) in the CNG Triton auction, but I really stretched on both of them. Last year I would have said I overpaid, but based on the really strong hammer prices realized on virtually everything I think it was about right. Very curious to see what it’s like on the bourse floor tomorrow.
