Topps Announces 2024 Flagship Design

Boldest design since 1975 in my opinion. Back to interesting! Neon sign motif definitely unexpected. I think I am a fan but will have to see more.

I like it. The 1/4 black and 3/4 white border reminds me of 1986 Topps.

Wondering how it will look with longer team names like Yankees - seems like they will have to change font size or go with abbreviations like Yanks and Nats. Might move Topps logo to bottom to gain more room.

I think it would be a nicer design without the neon border.

Will all be black and white gradient or other colors like the 75s?

They kind of look like 86’s All Amped Up… :)

Here's a link for a few more examples. Thinner borders on these.

After seeing the other cards I am a big thumbs up. The longer team names just have a narrower font and still look good.

I'm kinda surprised they didn't think of doing the neon thing earlier! Sadly my Topps sequence remains stuck at 2013...not just because of super limited financial resources but there's just been so many other things that I wanted to do first coughstampscough

Now let's see what 2024 Topps Heritage will have!

My complaint would be on the insert cards in one of the posts further down in the Twitter link.

It looks like a white curve line error in the bottom right below the circle with (no idea) something in it. I had to look back at the base card design to see why it existed and it only works for me on the base design.

I have other opinions but it doesn't really matter much.

I like it, but do not like fanatics. Wonder how the centering will look in an average pack with those huge borders.

I love the look. PSA 10s will be hard to come by because of the corners. Fortunately Albert Pujols will not be in this set because the only PSA 10 cards I collect are Albert Pujols cards. I said fortunately but I actually wish he played one more year to beat Babe Ruth!
