Do you think this 1811 half dollar will straight grade at ANACS?

If so do you think it will make it to G? VG?

ANACS is not as easy as you might think they are.

I can’t tell from your pictures.

Not really, they look the same.

Something about the obverse is saying environmental damage to me. I could be wrong, however; that line of color change above the date that extends up into the bust almost looks like lacquer or something on the coin.

OK, thanks, I'll send it in and if it comes back environmental damage or whatever at least I'll know. Thanks for looking. Best pictures I can get with my old cell phone and my age.

Yes, I think it will "straight grade", possibly at VG-6.

Line above date is die crack..
Pics too poor to judge if we have a nice crusty coin or damage.
Either way, value is probably below level where grading makes sense..

Looks VG, at least based upon what I can discern without a clear reverse image.

    Think it will grade vg8.

I think it will grade VG too. Usually forgiving if it's darkening is not black. But I'm sure there is an adventure under the toning.

    VG-8 to me!

    Yes.

    When in doubt, don't.

I'm in the straight graded column.

There’s no way to judge this coin from those pics.
    Good luck

We need better pics, especially a in-focus reverse pic. From what I can see, VG8 looks like what it should grade. Let us know how you make out at ANACS.

Obv photo is fine. But why put 3 blurry photos up when you know that they are blurry, and then ask for the Forrum team to grade, does that make any sense to you?
