Is this a 1955-D/S Nickel?

I was going through a stack of about ~25-30 1955-D nickels looking for this variety. I believe that I got one. I would like to know if it is real, and if it is, what FS no. it is (I couldn't afford vol. 1)and what it is worth.
Sorry about poor pics.

Here's a good place to start.

Looks to me like it is a D/S, the first variety listed, FS-501. Anyone else's opinion would be valued.

I do not see your coin as matching the FS-501 photos that are on VV, but better photos would help a ton. As to your other question on value, well that will depend on if you can find a match for a known OMM, however, the poor condition will result in a value of a dollar or so at best.

It is the D/S. The upper curve of the "S" can be seen to the left.
